What to do when you don’t want to work?
A few years ago, since I read the book called ‘FLOW’ by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, it started to change the way I approached work.
Since I read the book, I started looking for satisfaction and enjoyment in work as opposed to trying to avoid it as much as possible. It is a great book to take a look at the work that you have to do. He said that we are so conditioned to view work as something we want to avoid at all costs.
In this video, I have shared his idea of, how can we change the way we look at work?
We hate working but we need to work. We don’t consciously choose to be lazy. We become lazy on autopilot mode. We really want to do the work but we avoid doing work and we repeatedly avoid the work.
And guess what, what we do repeatedly over and over again, we create that habit. We have cultivated the habit of avoiding work.
