Authentic Vs Fake
Today I am going to share a guaranteed way to failure!!!! Do this: fake it ‘til you make it. I bet you didn’t expect to hear that.
I mean, how many times have you been told you need to fake it ‘til you make it be successful? It has become the mantra for success. Unfortunately, it’s a complete rubbish. Total complete rubbish. Fake it ‘til you make it is the insidious mantra of failure.
Fake is simply another word for something (or someone) inauthentic. Fake is the total opposite of the real thing. There are fake Rolex’s and there are fake IDs. There are countless things which are hard or impossible to judge whether it’s real of fake. The same way, there are countless people who are pretending to be someone they are not. They are being fakes because they were told that is how you become successful.
And who can blame you, or me, or anyone for being fake? It is what we have been told to do. Plus the fake part is only temporary! In due time, the fake-ness will become reality. When that happens we can finally be the real deal.
And even if you fool everyone (good luck with that), you will never fool yourself.
Ultimately, you are the one who knows what is true and what is not true. No matter how much you try to lie to yourself you will know deep down inside that you are being inauthentic.
Now, As long as you are fake, you will always feel uncomfortable in your own skin.
But if it that was really true, that fake Rolex would become real – given enough time. And the fake cure, would start magically working miracle after miracle after miracle.
Obviously none of that will ever happen. Fake is fake. Fake can’t be changed. Fake can only be replaced with real. You need to have the real thing, to be the real thing.
In the best case scenario, being fake is uncomfortable. Worst case it is an outright lie.
Many entrepreneurs believe in selling fake products or services and dream to become a millionaire. Yeah.. they might become a millionaire (if they are lucky) but they lose in the long run.
It’s easy to fool someone for a day or two, but it’s impossible to fool someone for the lifetime.
Here’s what you must understand:
If you are faking it, you are being inauthentic. And in-authenticity will never get you to your destination.
If you want to become something or achieve something, it must be authentically you.
You must be it to achieve it.
What? Wait a second? Do I need to be it, to be it? That sounds ridiculously stupid.
How in the world can you be something that you are not yet?
Let me give you some clarity. If you want to be it on the outside (the world recognizes you for it) you must be it on the inside (you must truly see it for yourself first).
You need to be it (inside) to be it (outside).
If you want to be a wildly successful entrepreneur, you must align your soul with it first, You must be a wildly successful entrepreneur inside first.
When you convince yourself completely about what you do and sell, your level of confidence surely increases.
When you are faking about who you are, you subcommmunicate through your body language that you are not real. & you lose trust and respect in the eyes of people. You can never convince yourself to lie and never be able to fake yourself out.
So what to do then… You should not need to fake it. Be original, Be real and Be authentic. That’s your true identity. People are far more likely to trust you and willing to do business with you when you are original and real. Be 100% consistent with what your hear calls to do.
Nowadays, people believe in quick rich success. People do their level best to prove to others what they are not.
Just ask yourself, “Who do you want to be known as?”
Do you want your real identity attached to you or fake identity?
It’s impossible to live with a different mask on your face. The more authentic you are, the more acceptable you become.
Never again try to fake it ‘til you make it. It’s a fools game. Your bad publicity will spread as quick as the virus. It’s hard and time-consuming process to establish identity and brand, but it’s far easier and quick to demolish the identity and brand.
Believe me, people never support or encourage fake and inauthentic person or company. People hate to be cheated. They take it way too personally if you cheat them or try to cheat them. As the law of Karma goes, “what goes around comes around”.
To be it, you need to be it.
That’s it for now…..
